Ava is for adults 18 and older. By confirming your age and using the service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, do not use Ava.

What Ava is

• Ava is a fully synthetic, fictional character powered by AI, designed for conversation, friendship, and playful connection.
• She is not a human or a real person, and conversations with her are AI-generated entertainment.
• Ava is a companion, not a professional. She does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If you're struggling, talk to a human professional you trust; if you're in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country right away.

Your account

Your account is tied to your session on your device and, if you link one, your verified phone number. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your device and phone number secure. The controls on the Trust & controls and memories pages let you review and erase what Ava remembers about you.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Ava if you are under 18, or let anyone under 18 use your account.
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass, or exploit any person.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service, or use automated tools to create accounts or send messages in bulk.
• Submit payment details, passwords, or other people's private information in chat. Ava never saves them as memories, and you should not send them.

Purchases

• Ava Plus is a one-time purchase of $29. It is not a subscription: there are no renewals and no recurring charges. Plus includes unlimited chat, unlimited memory, and 2 free voice-call minutes every day.
• Call minutes are sold in packs: 10 minutes for $14.99, 30 minutes for $39.99, and 60 minutes for $69.99. Voice calls draw down your minute balance, starting with that day's free Plus minutes.
• Payments are processed by Square. Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay; the price on the purchase screen at the time you buy is the price you are charged.

Voice calls

When you ask Ava to call you, the call is placed to the phone number you verified with us. By requesting a call, you consent to receive it. Your carrier's normal terms apply to calls and messages on your phone.

Ending access

You can stop using Ava at any time, and you can erase what she remembers using the controls described above. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

The service, as-is

Ava is provided "as is." Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. AI-generated conversation can be unpredictable or inaccurate; it is entertainment, not a source of professional guidance.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of Ava is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Questions about these terms or the Privacy Policy can be sent through the report a problem form on the Trust & controls page.
